Doctor Strange, in an attempt to help Spider-Man fix the situation, casts a spell that opens up the multiverse. However, the spell goes awry, leading to several villains from different universes entering their world. These villains include Doctor Octopus, Electro, Sandman, Lizard, and the Green Goblin, all of whom Spider-Man and his friends must battle.
