Proteus is a family of electronic design automation (EDA) tools from Labcenter Electronics; versions labeled like “Proteus 8” and “Proteus 7” are common. “Proteus 91” is not an official, current product name from Labcenter; it often appears in online searches as an ambiguous or unofficial label used by third‑party sites that host older installers or repackaged files. Because ambiguous search terms can lead to outdated, pirated, or malicious downloads, below is a practical, actionable guide to getting a legitimate installer, verifying it, and alternatives if the exact version you saw isn’t available.
The plans are in metric units, except for drill and shaft sizes, which are in imperial units.
You can generate plans in imperial units simply by changing the units to "imperial" in SketchUp under
"model info", but the units will not work out to even numbers like they do in metric.
