Between bookings, Grace is a ghost. She funds a community kitchen in her mother’s name, donates to an underground legal clinic for sex workers, and hoards first editions. Her hidden sanctuary is a studio above a shuttered laundromat, filled with books, cat videos on her phone, and a single framed photo: a 12-year-old Grace, grinning beside her foster sister, a summer project who never came back.
